Golda Meir’s Blackmon and North Division’s Dills Jr. Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Jan. 5)

Aniya Blackmon (Golda Meir School) and Jeff Dills Jr. (North Division High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 28 – Jan. 3.

Blackmon had an impressive showing at Mount Mary University’s tournament last week, averaging 28.5 points per game between the Owls’ two matchups against Whitnall and St. Thomas More. The senior shot 70 percent from the free throw line, and rounded out her stat sheet with 6.5 rebounds, two assists and 2.5 steals per game. 

Dills Jr. made an impact on both ends of the floor in North Division’s 61-58 victory over Pulaski on Dec. 30. The junior posted 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting while contributing eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in the Blue Devils’ win.
