Golda Meir’s Retic and Juneau’s Tyler Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Jan. 26)

Christopher Retic (Golda Meir School) and Takis Tyler (Juneau High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan 18-24.

Retic came out hot for Golda Meir last week, posting back-to-back dominant performances. The junior averaged 20.5 points, 14 rebounds and 6 steals per game, leading the Owls to victories over Heritage Christian and Reagan. Last Wednesday’s win over the Huskies kept Golda Meir’s conference record spotless at 6-0.

Meanwhile, Tyler delivered a statement performance for powerhouse Juneau in their win over Rufus King. The senior led the charge with 35 points, shooting 59 percent from the field and 60 percent from three-point range. Tyler added two rebounds and two assists to cap his impressive performance.
