King’s Naomi Wilson and Golda Meir’s Kaleb Colbert Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Dec. 1)

Naomi Wilson (Rufus King High School) and Kaleb Colbert (Golda Meir High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 23-29. 

Wilson had an electric game last week for the Generals, contributing big on both sides of the ball. The junior captain put up 13 points against Brown Deer, also recording three assists and five steals. Wilson topped off her performance with five offensive and five defensive rebounds, carrying Rufus King to a dominant 72-29 win. 

Point guard Kaleb Colbert exploded out of the gate for Golda Meir, dropping 23 points in the first half against Carmen Northwest. He finished the game with 35 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and 10 steals in the dominant performance. But Colbert wasn’t done yet — later in the week against Lake Country, he nearly matched his output with 24 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and eight steals, helping the Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season.
